Mid November!

It is already half way through November and it feels like spring here in Madrid! The last couple days have been great weather for a light jacket, it is amazing! Of course, the Spaniards are bundled up in their winter gear. But to me, it does not feel like my usual chilly November. School has been busy lately; professors have been giving us our final projects and papers. It is a bit overwhelming, but I know I will be fine. Today, my Information Technology class has a project due. We had to create a video. The whole class is running around making the finishing touches! It is a relief to know that we have finished, and with a project my partner and I are proud of. Luckily, all of our hardwork will be rewarded on our trip to Lisbon, Portugal this weekend! SUMC includes one excursion per semester. This semester the choices were: Santiago de Compostela, Barcelona, and Lisbon. I have already traveled around Spain, so I jumped at the opportunity to visit Portugal! I am looking forward to this weekend, these trips are always so much fun!

A quick view of the last few years...

Hello! My name is Ana and I am currently a freshman studying at Suffolk University Madrid Campus (SUMC). I grew up in Helena, Montana. However, for my junior year of High School, I studied in Zaragoza, Spain with the School Year Abroad Program. My year in Spain was without a doubt the most memorable, best year of my life! I knew I wanted to return to Spain, so it was an easy choice to come to SUMC. So far, this year has been great! I am so glad that I decided on SUMC; the classes are small, teachers are great, the staff is so friendly and helpful, and best of all...I´m in Madrid, Spain!! I feel as if I have established a perfect balance between school work and enjoying the Spanish culture and nightlife. A great benefit of studying in Europe is the opportunity to travel! This semester, I have been to Morocco, Prauge, and to numerous cities around Spain. I have had such a great experience here so far and I honestly can not believe my first semester of college is almost over! Adios!
